DXTelnet needs to be working smothly, prior to making
the below New Directory.
The below information will help you customize DX Telnet to use only on the 10m Band, It has
the updated Country list, updated cluster nodes, and the filters are pre set for
the 10m Band. This will be great for Techs that enjoy chasing DX, and any other hams that enjoy 10 meters.
The 1st thing to do, is make sure your DXtelnet is working properly first with the C:\dxtelnet32
upgrade. When that is working well, then you can add the 10m folder and files.
Make a new folder, C:\dxt 10m. Download the below file, and save it to this folder.
Click below to download dxt 10m.zip
(NEW Feb 7) "dxt 10m.zip"
In the above example, you can not use
both #1 & #2 at the same time. If the frequency
filters are set for the SSB part of the band,
you do not need the ft4 and ft8 in box 1. In this
example, the ft4 and ft8 would be put there only
if using the Non SSB sub band, to filter out other
modes.
NOTE: Since each of these special folders contain the main program, so when you
first use these, you will have to put your registration code in them again.
Below is a video of DX Telnet, with it set up to show only DX Spots
from 28.300 to 28.500 for Techs. It starts off with receiving
spots from any stations, with no sounds.
*The sound settings is then set to enable sounds to
give a ping sound for each spot.
*It is then set to do Voice Announcenments for each
DX Spot. During very low activity, this can be very useful.
*The next thing changed, was selecting Enable DX DE filter.
This will only show DX Spots posted from North America stations.
handy to alert you of a band opening.
Have your speakers turned on, then click the > in the lower left corner to watch.
